HUNTINGTON CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Department of Transportation says that a portion of State Road 3 south of Markle will close soon for work.
Crews are scheduled to begin bridge construction between C.R. 500 S and C.R. 200 S starting on or after May 8.
Work is expected to last until mid-June. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
During the closure, drivers should use the posted detour of State Road 124, State Road 5, I-69 and U.S. 224, or seek an alternate route.
INDOT encourages drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction free when traveling in and around all work zones.
