ALLEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS)– The Indiana Department of Transportation says that you should be aware of rolling slowdowns on I-469 this weekend.
Starting on or after 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, rolling slowdowns will take place for crews to remove and replace an electric transmission system.
The rolling slowdowns should be complete by 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 16. Rolling slowdowns are scheduled to occur the following weekend as well. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
Work is taking place in both directions of I-469 between mile marker 8, south of Winchester Road, and mile marker 17.8, north of Minnich Road.
During the rolling slowdowns, traffic will be slowed down to 10 mph with each rolling slowdown lasting no longer than 20 minutes. There will be a 20-minute gap between each rolling slowdown that is needed to complete the work.
INDOT encourages drivers to use extra caution and drive distraction-free when traveling in and around all work zones.
