INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Add Indiana to the list of states talking about possible summer blackouts.
The North American Electric Reliability Corporation has a new report that says the power grid in the Midwest will be stressed this summer. That includes Indiana.
Power companies have lost some of their ability to create power because new environmental regulations have taken some power plants offline.
Regulators say Indiana has never seen rolling blackouts but said they could happen as a last resort this year.
