Fewer people worried about COVID as cases rise

WASHINGTON D.C. (ADAMS) – It looks like fewer people are worried about getting coronavirus. A new Gallup poll taken last month shows only 31-percent fear it’ll happen despite cases rising.

That’s the lowest number since last July. Almost two-thirds of those surveyed feel the pandemic is getting better while 21-percent still avoid public places.

Infections are up 52-percent nationwide in the past two weeks.

Experts warn the surge will only get worse come this fall and winter.
