COLUMBUS, Ohio (ADAMS) – The U.S. inspector general is releasing the findings of audits covering some Central Ohio post offices.
The investigation found the South Columbus Post Office failed to deliver 34,000 pieces of mail on time.
The East City Annex office had around 5,000 delayed items.
Audits of the facilities began after mail customers in areas of the city began reporting significant delays.
The inspector general recommended re-training managers and adding staff in the audit report.
