SCOTUS puts Biden Administration “good neighbor” smog plan on hold

WASHINGTON D.C. (ADAMS) – The Supreme Court is stopping the Biden administration’s controversial “good neighbor” pollution rule. The plan would have forced states to cut emissions to reduce the amount of smog that drifts across their borders. Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia challenged the federal rule – calling it too costly and ineffective.

The 5-4 decision to grant a stay doesn’t totally nix the plan, but it does place it on hold.
