The Embassy released the following:
The Embassy Theatre and Nederlander National Markets are thrilled to announce the newly-expanded 24/25 Broadway at the Embassy season. Due to popular demand, we’ve expanded the season to a two-performance series, and the Embassy is now a presenting partner. Renewing subscribers can renew their season packages starting, May 7. New subscriptions will be available on Monday, July 8. The upcoming season is sponsored by Shambaugh & Son, L.P. This season includes four Fort Wayne premieres, two Tony Award-winning Best Musicals, and one title back by popular demand. The new season kicks off with AIN’T TOO PROUD: THE LIFE & TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS, the electrifying smash-hit Broadway musical that follows The Temptations’ extraordinary journey from the streets of Detroit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The season continues with the longest running American musical in the history of Broadway, CHICAGO THE MUSICAL. It’s hotter than ever! Starting off 2025 is the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, HADESTOWN, a sensational new musical that combines Greek mythology and a Grammy Award-winning album. Continuing the season is another Tony Award-winning Best Musical, DEAR EVAN HANSEN, a “breathtaking knockout of a musical” according to The New York Times. The season concludes with TINA: THE TINA TUNER MUSICAL, a celebration of the undisputed Queen of Rock ‘n Roll.

“We couldn’t be happier to expand the Broadway at the Embassy season as we continue to grow this important market,” said Jack Meyer, vice president – programming, Nederlander Production Co. “In addition to a stellar season, we’re excited to enter a new partnership with the Embassy Theatre to continue bringing the best of Broadway to Fort Wayne.”
As the Embassy has grown its programming in recent years to include more presenting and copresenting opportunities, this allows the organization to have a significant voice in the choice and direction of live music and stage experiences in this region. This also means that the Embassy has more financial investment in its success. The Embassy has grown since its days of being primarily a rental house where tours and shows were simply looking for a venue to rent along their tour route.
Now, the organization’s programming strategy includes seeking out exactly what is desired and needed for the community.
“In recent years, we have worked hard to broaden our programming and focus on vital arts and cultural experiences for northeast Indiana. Broadway at the Embassy is an important part of that strategy,” said Kelly Updike, Embassy Theatre president & CEO. “Our community has supported this growth by filling the house. We are thrilled to expand to two nights and become a presenting partner in this series. The new season offers rich diversity, a little classic Broadway and newer shows never seen in this region.”
