DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says that one person was hurt when the dump truck they were driving overturned on Monday afternoon. Police responded to the 5700 block of SR 8 and found the crash scene. The driver, 61-year-old Scott Marbach of Decatur, said he was heading west around 4 p.m. when his tired began to slip off the road and onto the shoulder.
Marbach said he attempted to get back on the roadway but overcorrected and wound up rolling the dump truck onto its side. Police reported that it spilled asphalt and struck two mailboxes in the crash.

Marbach suffered cuts to his face and neck and was taken to the hospital by EMS.
The truck was a total loss.
The DeKalb Co. Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Butler PD, Butler FD, Parkview EMS, Riverside Towing, and DeKalb County Central Communication.
