INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Deploying 50 Indiana National Guard soldiers to the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas will cost just over $7 million. That is according to Master Sergeant Jeff Lowry.
Governor Eric Holcomb announced recently the troops would be sent to Texas after he returned from a visit there with other Republican governors who say the Biden administration is not doing enough to stop unauthorized immigrants from entering the country. Lowry says the troops will arrive in Texas in the middle of March and could be there for up to ten months.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Dozens of Indiana National Guard members are heading to the southern border with Mexico.
Governor Eric Holcomb announced Friday that 50 Indiana National Guard soldiers will spend 10 months supporting the Texas National Guard with border security.
The soldiers will begin their mission in Texas in mid-March.
