GRANT CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says it has received numerous phone calls from the community stating that a person has been calling and identifying as Sergeant William Hall with the sheriff’s office. Police say it is an attempt to get names of people in the community.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office reminds residents that it does not conduct investigations by phone, and anyone with questions should contact Grant County Central Dispatch at 765-668-8168.

The Sheriff’s Office has received numerous phone calls from the community stating that a person has been calling and identifying as Sergeant William Hall of the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. This person has been attempting to gain information on persons of different names throughout the community.
Sheriff Garcia would like you to know that we do not have any person of that name employed by the Sheriff’s Office, and our Investigators do not conduct investigations by phone. If you receive one of these calls, do not give any information; always trust your instincts.
