FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – What appears to have been some kind of standoff in southeast Fort Wayne had officers blocking South Anthony Boulevard on Monday evening.
According to the FWPD, at approximately 5 p.m., the officers arrived in the 2800 block of S. Anthony Boulevard to serve a warrant.
Police say that the Fort Wayne PD Emergency Services Team (EST), “entered the home for a brief amount of time.” Police did not say if any arrests were made or the nature of the initial warrant.
Police did not release any further details.
The following was issued:
On February 5th, 2024 at approximately 5:00pm, FWPD Detectives attempted to serve a warrant on a residence in the area of the 2800 block of South Anthony Blvd. Fort Wayne PD Emergency Services Team (EST) entered the residence after a brief amount of time. The investigation is ongoing as Detectives and Crimes Scene technicians are currently still processing the scene and collecting evidence. There is nothing further at this time.
