INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Some Hoosiers are speaking out against the state’s tax on menstrual products.
A rally was held at the statehouse on Wednesday asking lawmakers to eliminate taxes on period products. Activists who want the tax eliminated argue that these products are necessary- and not luxury items.
The Alliance or Period Supplies says Indiana is one of 21 states still charging sales tax for these items.
