UPDATE (July 6, 2023):
The Allen County Coroner has identified a man who died early Tuesday morning in a motorcycle crash off Eat Washington.
He was identified as 41-year-old Andrew William Pinedo of Fort Wayne.
The coroner says Pinedo’s cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries from the crash, and the manner of his death was ruled an accident.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office released the following:
The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified, and made notifications to the next of kin of the deceased individual that was involved in a motorcycle crash in the 3300 block of East Washington Boulevard, Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, at about 02:50 hours, Tuesday, July 4, 2023. He has been positively identified as Andrew William Pinedo, male, White, age 41, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mr. Pinedo was the operator of a motorcycle that lost control and struck a median. Mr. Pinedo was pronounced deceased at the scene by Three Rivers Ambulance Authority.

Andrew William Pinedo is the 21st traffic fatality for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2023.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department says one man was killed early Tuesday morning just east of downtown.
It happened just before 3 a.m. at East Washington Boulevard and Maumee Avenue. Police and medics found a single motorcycle down when they arrived.
The FWPD said that it appeared the man hit a median where Maumee turns into E. Washington before losing control of the bike.
Right now, police do not know if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
Police said he was not wearing a helmet.
The Fort Wayne Police Department released the following:
On July 4th, 2022 at approximately 2:50 AM officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the intersection of Washington Bvd and Maumee Ave to a vehicle accident. Dispatch was advised a motorcyclist was down and not moving.
When officers arrived on scene, they discovered an adult male lying in the street unresponsive. Medics arrived and declared the male deceased at the scene. The preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle was traveling east bound on Maumee Ave. The motorcycle struck the median and lost control where Maumee Ave turns into E. Washington Blvd. The driver and motorcycle was located in the west bound lane. He did not appear to be wearing a helmet and it is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
The Fort Wayne Police Department Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) was called out the scene for a thorough investigation. This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police and the Allen County Coroner’s office. East and West traffic at Washington Blvd and Maumee Ave is closed at this time.
