UPDATE (May 18, 2023):
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A 33-year-old man with warrants in three Indiana counties has been arrested out of state. Fort Wayne police did not say exactly where Cedrick Carter was arrested but do say he will be extradited to Indiana.
In March, the Fort Wayne Police Department put out his photo and asked the public for tips saying he was wanted in Allen, Johnson, and Grant counties on a variety of charges.
The FWPD released the following:
On May 16th, 2023, Cedrick Carter was taken into custody out of state for outstanding warrants out of Allen County, Marion County, and Grant County. Carter is awaiting extradition back to Indiana. The FWPD Homicide Unit appreciates the public’s help in locating Carter.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police are asking for the public’s help as they try to find 33-year-old Cedric Carter.
He is wanted on several charges in Allen and Johnson counties including strangulation and domestic battery.
Carter failed to appear in court in Fort Wayne on a charge of possessing a firearm by a serious violent felon.
He is six-feet-four, 240 pounds, Black, and has a beard.

The Fort Wayne Police Department is attempting to locate a wanted fugitive from justice. Cedric Carter DOB 06/05/1989 is wanted out of Fort Wayne for Failure to Appear- Possession of Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon and by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department for Strangulation and Domestic Battery.
