FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Allen County Public Library invites media to cover recent updates at the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research located at the Main Library. The new exhibits will open to the public just in time for Presidents’ Day on February 20.
Three new exhibits will be on display. Exhibits will focus on the lives of Union soldiers who fought in the Civil War including images, letters, diaries, and artifacts highlighting their time in the war; an overview of the four Lincoln sons, Robert, Edward, William, and Thomas; and the experiences of German, Irish, Swedish, and French immigrants during the war. All items are part of the Library’s extensive Lincoln Collection.
The public can view the collection, which is updated and curated regularly by expert Lincoln Librarians, at the Library’s Main Branch (900 Library Plaza, Fort Wayne) Monday & Wednesday 9A to 5P, Tuesdays & Thursdays 9A to 9P, Fridays & Saturdays 9A to 6P, and Sundays 12N to 5P. There is no cost to visit.
