The Allen County Coroner says that Laine Arvey and Matthew Tustison were the victims of a fiery crash in Allen County. (Original story below)
The crash happened on Arcola Road on January 15. Right now, the cause and manner of their deaths are still being determined.
Allen County Coroner released the following:
On January 15, 2023, at about 21:50 hours the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified of a two-motor vehicle crash, with fatality, located near the intersection of Arcola Road and Yellow River Road, in Allen County, Indiana. After the collision both vehicles caught fire.
The driver of one vehicle was able to move away from his vehicle and remained on scene. The second vehicle was extinguished, and two deceased persons were located inside. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene, by TRAA Medics.
Autopsies have been completed along with identification and notification to the next of kin for Laine C. Arvey, Female White 40 years of age from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Matthew P. Tustison, Male White 49 years of age from Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Cause and Manner of Death are pending further investigation and testing.
Laine C. Arvey is the 1st and Matthew P. Tutison is the 2nd fatality in Allen County, Indiana for 2023.
The investigation continues by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

ALLEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – There are not many details that have been released however, the Allen County Sheriff’s Department says two people were killed in a crash Sunday night.
A call came in for the crash around 9:30 p.m. and officers were sent to Arcola Road just east of Yellow River Road.
It is still under investigation but what we do know is that two passenger vehicles collided and caught fire.
The Sheriff’s Department says one other person was hurt and in serious condition.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department released the following:
On January 15, 2023, at approximately 9:30 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to Arcola Road, just east of Yellow River Road, reference a reported motor vehicle crash with injuries.
Upon arrival, officers and medics located two vehicles that were involved in the crash. The preliminary investigation indicated that an eastbound passenger car and a westbound passenger car collided. The collision caused both vehicles to become fully engulfed in flames upon impact.
The adult driver of the eastbound passenger car was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.
The driver and passenger of the westbound passenger car were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
This incident remains under investigation.
