DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – Officers with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department believe speed was a contributing factor to a crash that left one man in critical condition Sunday afternoon.
Just after 2:30 p.m., police say 23-year-old Marshall Davis was heading east on CR 28. According to a release, Davis entered the curves at CR 28 and CR 00W when his vehicle drifted off the south side of the roadway.
While Davis attempted to bring the vehicle back onto the road, he overcorrected and his Ford Ranger rolled over two times before coming to rest upright in the middle of the roadway.
Police say Davis was ejected from the vehicle and suffered a head injury.
He was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition.
The DeKalb Co. Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Noble Co. Sheriff’s Department, Kendallville PD, Corunna Fire, Kendallville Fire, and Parkview EMS.
