FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police say that a man is in critical condition after being shot on Wednesday night. It happened on the 2700 block of Stardale Drive, off Hessen Cassel Road close to Paulding.
Just after 11 p.m., dispatchers received a 911 reporting the shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound.
Paramedics provided medical attention at the scene and took the man to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
FWPD officials say a person of interest has been identified and interviewed.

On Wednesday September 7, 2022 at approximately 11 PM officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call of a shooting in the 2700 Block of Stardale Dr. Officers arrived on scene to find an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Paramedics provided medical attention to the male victim before transporting him to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
Investigators and crime scene technicians are documenting the scene to determine the cause of the shooting.
A person of interest has been identified and being interview by investgators.
This incident is being investigated by the Fort Wayne Police Department Homicide Team and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
