FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a crash Saturday morning near West Tillman Road and Lower Huntington Road.
Fort Wayne Police say they were called at 3:18 a.m. on reports of a crash with injuries.
Witnesses spotted a running motorcycling in the middle of the road.
Officers found the adult male driver nearby according to an FWPD report. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say he was not wearing a helmet.

On Saturday, 04/23/2022, at approximately 3:18 AM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the intersection of Lower Huntington Road and West Tillman Road in reference to a vehicle crash with injuries. Witnesses reported a running motorcycling lying in the middle of the road. Officers arrived on scene and located the driver of the motorcycle nearby. Paramedics transported the male/adult driver of the motorcycle to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary information indicates the driver of the motorcycle (sole occupant) was traveling westbound on Tillman Road, lost control of the vehicle as the road curved, and hit the guardrail south of Lower Huntington Road. The driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet.
Tillman Road is currently closed between Calhoun St. and Lower Huntington Rd. while the Fatal Accident Investigators and Air Support Units document the scene.
This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
