FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – We now know the identity of a man killed on Friday off Eagle Trace Cove. He was one of two men shot around 9:30 p.m. The other man is reported to be in critical condition.
On Monday, the Allen County Coroner said the 23-year-old Riley Edward Enrietto was killed by multiple gunshots. Police are still investigating and asking the public for any tips (original release below).
The Allen County Coroner’s Office released the following:
On Friday, April 15, 2022 at about 2145 hours the Allen County Coroner’s Office was contacted and advised of shooting investigation with the death being pronounced on scene. The location of the incident was the 7800 block of Eagle Trace Cove, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
An autopsy has been completed and the next of kin has been notified of the death of Riley Edward Enrietto, male white 23 years of age, from Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Cause of Death has been determined to be Multiple Gunshot Wounds and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Riley Edward Entietto is the 7th Homicide in Allen County for 2022.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
Initially, FWPD officials released the following:
On April 15, 2022 shortly after 9:30 pm the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 7800 Block of Eagle Trace Cove in reference to a reported shooting.
Responding Officers were advised that the subject calling 911 had advised that himself and a friend had been shot.
Upon Officers arrival on scene they located 2 adult male victims both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One male victim was pronounced deceased on scene by paramedics and the other victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
Fort Wayne Police Homicide Detectives were called to the scene along with Crime Scene Technicians and Fort Wayne Police Air Support Units.
Detectives were canvassing the area attempting to gather any witness statements along with any video surveillance footage from resident’s security systems. There was varying descriptions of possible vehicles leaving the scene after the shooting and Detectives were trying to locate any video footage to gain vehicle descriptions.
Crime Scene Technicians along with Air Support Units were assisting in gathering and documenting evidence associated with the incident

The Identity of the victim will be released at a later time by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
