FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two people who allegedly went to the wrong home and opened fire on “an innocent elderly woman.”
FWPD officials say that around 11 p.m. on Dec. 23, 2021, the pair showed up at a home in the 2000 block of Taylor Street in a grey or silver Ford Escape and rang the doorbell. Their images were captured on the camera of the home’s doorbell system.
The males rang a doorbell and when answered they opened fire on, and struck an innocent elderly woman. It is believed that the males went to the wrong house and the injured female was completely innocent and the wrong person. The Victim was in critical condition, but survived.
