FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Allen County Board of Commissioners is scheduled to consider new district boundaries for Commissioners and County Council at a special legislative session on December 30 at 9:00 a.m. in the Council Courtroom of Citizens Square.
Citizens who would like to comment on the proposed boundaries can do so by email at commissioner@allencounty.us or by calling 449-7555.
Maps of the proposed boundaries for both Commissioners and Council districts can be viewed at the Board of Commissioners office in Suite 410 of Citizens Square or online.
The redistricting process occurs every ten years following the U.S. Census and is done to adjust districts based on population changes so that all are proportionately equal.
