DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says a Hamilton man was hurt when he lost control of a backhoe Saturday afternoon. Officials say it overturned and went down an embankment.
Officers were called around 3:15 p.m. to a property located on the 900 block of C.R. 61.
According to a release from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, 65-year-old Ronald Getts was operating a backhoe – attempting to make a right hand turn into his driveway when he lost control.
Officials say the backhoe went off the north side of the drive and down a steep embankment where it overturned.
Getts suffered a possible broken left arm and complained of head pain, the report said.
