BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (ADAMS) – The City of Bloomington is putting restrictions on electric scooters after the death of an Indiana University student.
Starting this Thursday night, the scooters will only be accessible between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. Around 2 o’clock the morning of September 18th, 20-year-old Nathaniel Stratton was hit by a suspected drunk driver near North Walnut and East 12th Streets.
22-year-old Madelyn Howard was allegedly intoxicated and driving upwards of 50 miles per hour when she swerved into the bike lane and hit Stratton.
