INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana National Guard members will deploy to Riley Children’s Hospital by the end of the week. A six-member team will serve in clinical and non-clinical roles, helping not only with patients but also with things like environmental services and food services.
Officials at the Children’s Hospital say there are 32 COVID-19 patients at Riley, with about four times as many children admitted as they’ve seen in any other surge of the virus.
The National Guard deployment comes as Guard members already help at 13 other IU Health hospitals in Indiana
