INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – One Indianapolis lawmaker wants to clear up the confusion about the state’s turn signal laws.
Republican state Senator Aaron Freeman has filed legislation that would do away with Indiana’s requirement that people use their turn signals 200 feet before turning, or 300 feet before changing lanes.
He said state law also allows for people to use their signals with “reasonable safety” as opposed to specific feet.
Freeman says he wants to clear up just when people have to hit their turn signal. It’s not clear when, or if, his legislation will get a hearing.
