INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – After weeks of seeing new coronavirus cases, hospitals in and around Indianapolis are seeing an uptick in coronavirus patients.
Dr. John Christenson, with Riley Hospital for Children, says up to 90-percent of new cases are delta cases. He says many of the people who are ending up in the hospital are younger, in their 30s and 40s. The state Department of Health reported on Friday that just over 1,400 people are in the hospital with the virus. That’s up from just under 400 last month.
