FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Police say that a man is expected to recover after he was shot Thursday morning. The FWPD says that it happened around 6 a.m. The man reportedly showed up at the Lassus station at 10225 Illinois Road with a gunshot wound and an employee helped the man until medics nad police arrived.
Officers were able to ascertain that the shooting happened on Craftsbury Circle at the Brandy Chase Apartments and were able to get evidence at the scene.
The FWPD released the following on Thursday:
An adult male is in non life-threatening condition, after a shooting that occurred in the area of 4600 Craftsbury Circle today (July 25th, 2024) around 6:01 am this morning. The Fort Wayne Police Department received reports that a person was shot at the Lassus Gas Station on 10225 Illinois Rd. The caller, an employee of the gas station, stated that a person arrived shot in the leg. The employee aided in treating the injury until police and TRAA arrived and took over. Preliminary investigation indicated the shooting occurred at another location, 4600 Craftsbury Circle. Officers were sent to that location and found evidence of a crime scene. Detectives were notified and took over the investigation. The victim was transported to a local hospital in non life-threatening condition. At this time, it is unknown if this shooting is related to the shooting that occurred at 3900 Warsaw on Wednesday (July 24th, 2024). This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
