The Allen County Coroner has identified a woman killed in a crash on US 24 this week. The coroner says that Judith Reddin was behind the wheel of a vehicle that rear-ended a semi-truck that was stopped at a light. Her death has been ruled accidental.
The semi-driver was not hurt in the crash.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office released the following:
On Tuesday, June 25th, 2024, the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified of motor vehicle versus semi tractor trailer rig crash, in New Haven. First responders transported an individual to a local hospital and she was later pronounced deceased.
The individual was identified as Judith Ann Reddin, 87, female, White of New Haven, Indiana.
Notification has been made to the legal next of kin. The Cause of Death is Multiple Blunt Force Injuries due to Motor Vehicle Versus Semi Tractor Trailer Rig Crash and the Manner of Death is Accident.
Judith Ann Redding is the 14th traffic fatality for Allen County in 2024.
The incident remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, the Allen County Prosecutors Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Allen County Sheriff’s Department says that a woman died in a crash on US 24 near 469 on Tuesday.
She was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and later died.
Police say she rear-ended a semi stopped at the light on US 24. The semi-driver was not hurt.
The woman has not yet been identified.

The adult female driver of the passenger car died at the hospital this evening.
ORIGINAL RELEASE BELOW:
On June 25, 2024, at approximately 2:30 P.M., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the area of U.S. 24 East and I-469, regarding a personal injury crash. Upon arrival, officers located a semi tractor trailer and a passenger car involved in the crash.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the semi tractor trailer was stopped on U.S. 24 at the stop light for southbound I-469. The passenger car was also westbound on U.S. 24. The passenger car rear-ended the semi tractor trailer, striking the right rear part of the trailer.
The driver of the passenger car was an adult female. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the semi, an adult male, was not injured.
This incident remains under investigation.
