DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says that a crash Tuesday morning knocked a home off of its foundation. Police say that two vehicles crashed around 7:30 a.m. on CR 68 close to CR 35.
The driver of a Ford Escape told police he did not see another vehicle, a 2005 GMC Yukon when he was trying to turn left.
The two vehicles crashed nearly head-on. That caused the Yukon to keep going into a home on the 6900 block of County Road 35.
The impact dislodged the home from the foundation.
Despite the force of the crash and both vehicles being totaled police say no one was hurt. Two people inside the residence were also not injured.
The DeKalb Co. Sheriff’s Office was assisted by DeKalb County Dispatch, Auburn Fire, Jackson Fire, Nipsco, I&M Power, Riverside Towing, Jeff’s Towing, DeKalb County Building inspector, Parkview EMS, and North-East Allen County Fire.
