FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – On Thursday, April 18, Blue Jacket, the Embassy Theatre, and Humane Fort Wayne squared off in a light-hearted fundraising match to benefit people, pets, and arts and culture. The stats are in, and together the three organizations raised $108,550 from 319 unique donors in just 12 hours.
Representatives of the Embassy released the following:
The Mighty Match Up included mini-challenges at each of the three locations that included competitions amongst the CEOs, development teams and ‘organization’s choice’ competitors. Other support emerged in the form of match hours and a special donation to each organization from sponsor, 3Rivers Federal Credit Union. After some slapstick bouts, nail-biting moments, and a lot of smack talk, Blue Jacket emerged with the champion’s belt. “It was such an amazing treat to involve our supporters in a fun day of giving entrenched in a lot of light-hearted and fun banter amongst partners whom I have incredibly high respect,” recalls Anthony Hudson, executive director of Blue Jacket. “It deepened friendships amongst our great organizations and our missions.”
The breakdown in dollars raised that day were as follows:
Blue Jacket – $47,730
Humane Fort Wayne – $41,540
Embassy Theatre – $19,280
As a result of the Mighty Match Up, Blue Jacket will send its employees to volunteer at Humane Fort Wayne and the Embassy Theatre so that everyone wins. The organizations thank the community for joining them ringside last Thursday to support the causes.
