DEKALB CO. (ADMAS) – A man was electrocuted when his vehicle ran into a utility pole over the weekend.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to a crash just before 11 p.m. after Colton Michael, 23, went off the road after missing a curve in the road on the 2600 block of CR 56.
His 2008 Chevy Impala ran into a pole that took down wires. Police say he tried to exit the vehicle and was electrocuted causing burns on his ankles and feet. Michael was taken to a nearby hospital.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
The DeKalb Co. Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Jackson Fire Department, Parkview DeKalb EMS, and DeKalb Central Communications.
