UPDATE (March 19, 2024):
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb has vetoed a bill that supporters said would further define antisemitism.
He says he applauds the General Assembly’s effort, “I cannot agree with the outcome.” He says the language that emerged in the final days of the session “fails to incorporate the entire International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition and its important contemporary examples.”
It was the eighth bill he vetoed in his time as governor.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana lawmakers are passing a measure prohibiting antisemitism on college campuses. House Bill 1002 was approved by the Indiana Senate unanimously.
This comes after the same bill did not even get a hearing in the Senate last year.
The measure will now be sent to House Conference Committees for review due to amendments made by the Senate.
