FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – If you are looking for something fun to do with the family that won’t cost an arm and a leg – Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation announces that reduced admission skating and skate rental is planned for the first four Thursdays in February during normal hours of operation at the Headwaters Park Ice Skating Rink.
FW Parks and Recreation released the following:
The $1 admission skate days are thanks to a donation by Marcia Crawford and Grant Crawford who wish to celebrate the memory and community service of Dr. John Crawford, a physician and radiation oncologist and 20-year member of the Fort Wayne City Council. Reduced admission and $1 skate rentals will be offered for guests on Feb. 1, 8, 15, and 22.
Inclement Weather Procedure: Any program changes, facility closures or other weather-related adjustments will be posted to the FWPRD social media pages and website. Text alerts will be sent (to those that have opted-in to this service). If the Mayor declares an emergency, all Parks and Recreation facilities and programs will be closed or canceled.
