FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department is investigating a fire that damaged a home northwest of downtown Tuesday night. Crews were called to the 1400 block of High Street just before 9:15 p.m.
According to the FWFD, crews found a detached garage on fire, and firefighters brought the fire under control in eight minutes. Officials said this prevented the fire from spreading to other structures.
The detached garage suffered heavy smoke damage as well as moderate fire and water damage
Nobody suffered injuries in the fire, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to the FWFD.

FWFD crews were called to a structure on fire in the area of 1420 High Street. First units arrived and reported a detached garage on fire. The fire was brought under control within eight minutes of arrival with no damage to any other structures. There were no occupants and no firefighters were injured in the process. FWFD received help from AEP and police units. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
