DEKALB, Ind. (ADAMS) – Three people were hurt in a crash on I-69 Friday.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says it happened just south of Auburn.
Around 5 p.m., a Chevy Trailblazer driven by 47-year-old Dawn Dedrick-Boyle tried to stop due to slowing traffic caused by a disabled semi-truck.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Boyle abruptly hit the brakes and she swerved to the left to avoid a collision.
When Dedrick-Boyle swerved back to the right, she reportedly lost control of her vehicle. The trailblazer ran off the east side of I-69 into a ditch. The SUV then drove up a small hill causing it to roll over before coming to a stop.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Dedrick-Boyle and two passengers, 20-year-old Destiny Sapp and 21-year-old Nickolas Bear, were taken to a hospital for cuts and pain. Their current conditions are not known.
