UPDATE:
The coroner has ruled the death of a woman on 469 Thursday morning a suicide.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office released the following:
On Thursday, December 1st, 2022, the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified of a semi-tractor trailer versus pedestrian in the southbound lane at mile marker number 27 of I469, in Fort Wayne. First responders pronounced death at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as Janae Turquoise McCullough-Boyd, female, black, age 44 of Fort Wayne.
Notification has been made to the next of kin. The Cause of Death has been determined to beMultiple Blunt Force Injuries due to Pedestrian Versus Semi-Tractor-Trailer Crash and the Manner of Death is ruled a Suicide.
This incident is under investigation by the Allen County Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A woman has been hit and killed by a FedEx truck after she got out of her vehicle on I-469 between Maplecrest Road and Wheelock Road.
Police say they are looking into the possibility she was having trouble with her car and had gotten out to try to flag someone down for help around 7 a.m. Thursday. The FedEx driver was not hurt.
