FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A man is now in custody following a shooting Sunday night on Harrison Street.
Police say the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Willie Wilson, was taken into custody on preliminary charges of aggravated battery and possessing cocaine, both felonies.
Police say he had a gun when he approached the scene and admitted to shooting the victim in the leg around 7 p.m.

The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating the shooting that occurred on Sunday November 13th just before 7pm in the area of 5200 S. Harrison St. Officers responded to that location and located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in serious condition. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Willie Wilson was arrested in connection with this shooting shortly after the incident.
