FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Substitute teachers in Fort Wayne will soon make a bit more.
The city’s school district yesterday approved a plan that’d add an extra $20 or $50 per day to a sub’s paycheck.
It depends on how long the sub can work, whether they are a retired teacher, and just what degree they have.
Fort Wayne Community Schools Superintendent Mark Daniel says they want to hire more experienced teachers to ‘move the needle.’
