SEYMOUR, Ind. (ADAMS) – An Indiana state lawmaker is facing backlash for quoting a Nazi propagandist in a social media post.
Representative Jim Lucas of Seymour shared a quote attributed to Joseph Goebbels, which includes the line “if you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”
Lucas took the post down later and said he was not comparing the U.S. to the Nazi Party. CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center condemned the post, saying they were shocked and horrified by the statement.
