FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The City of Fort Wayne today announced the lobby of the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory will serve as a cooling station due to high temperatures and heat indices forecasted to impact our area.
The cooling station will be available from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday. The Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory is located at 1100 S. Calhoun St. in downtown Fort Wayne.
Also, The Salvation Army will serve as a cooling station from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday. The Salvation Army is located at 2901 N. Clinton St.
The Rescue Mission is also a cooling shelter for those in need. It is open daily to the public as a cooling shelter from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at 404 E. Washington Blvd.
The Rescue Mission is open year-round to anyone in need of shelter or meals. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are served at 7 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. daily.
