DUNKIRK, Ind. (ADAMS) – We are waiting for more details about an officer-involved shooting in eastern Indiana that left one man dead, and two officers injured.
It happened yesterday in Dunkirk, which is in Jay County. The city’s police chief says the officers responded to a 911 call, and then there were shots fired.
The dead man is being identified as 36-year-old Kevin Zimmerman.
No one is identifying the injured officers. The Indiana State Police are handling the investigation.

The Indiana State Police has been requested by the Jay County Prosecutor’s Office to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred Thursday morning in 200 block of Mount Auburn Street in Dunkirk, involving the Dunkirk Police Department. This shooting incident claimed the life of a Dunkirk man.
