INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana House is advancing a bill that would change the rules for voting by mail.
Under House Bill 1116, a voter would need to say they can’t vote in person on Election Day or during the 28 days of early voting in order to vote by mail.
There are exceptions for people with disabilities and the elderly.
The bill now heads to the Indiana Senate for consideration.
