INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana’s governor is heading into another year where he is not on the same page as lawmakers from his own party.
On Monday, Governor Holcomb unveiled his agenda for the new year. Included in that is a plan to cut Indiana’s personal property tax for businesses. Holcomb says that will draw more manufacturers to the state.
But Republican lawmakers want to cut the personal income tax. The governor says he plans to work with lawmakers on a number of things, but says he wants to get on the same page first.
Lawmakers returned to the Capitol this week.
