FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police say that one person was hurt and another is in custody after a stabbing Monday morning close to downtown.
Police were called around 10:30 a.m. to the 500 block of E. Jefferson Boulevard and found the victim in the plaza suffering from a stab wound. The victim was treated at the scene and is expected to recover.
The FWPD says that officers found Odis Moore, 28, in the same shopping plaza in a different store holding his infant child. He was taken into custody and the child was given to a family member unharmed.

The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 500 block of E. Jefferson Blvd. regarding reports of a person being stabbed. The adult victim was located in the plaza suffering from a stabbed wound. The wound was non-life threatening. The victim was rendered aid at the scene by Medics and the Fort Wayne Fire Department. The Suspect, Odis Moore was located in the same shopping plaza in an adjacent store, holding his infant child. Odis was taken into custody without incident and the infant was given to a family member safe and uninjured.
Arrested: Odis Lee Moore, 28 years old
Charges: Domestic Battery, Domestic Battery resulting in moderate injury, Domestic battery with a deadly weapon, Domestic Battery in the presence of a minor under 16 years of age, Domestic Battery with a prior conviction of battery, and Criminal Recklessness with a deadly weapon.
