Several events, sales, and attractions head downtown

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Downtown Fort Wayne is marking a reopening milestone with some fun activities.

On August 14 and 15, in addition to the summer edition of Savor Fort Wayne, there will be several events and attractions on our downtown streets.

The Downtown Improvement District released the following:

“Downtown Fort Wayne is open for business and we are celebrating with a socially distant collaborative sidewalk sale! On Friday August 14th & Saturday August 15th, you can come out to show your community spirit by supporting local DTFW businesses. Enjoy a stroll through your favorite “good ol’ brick and mortar” shops. These businesses have been built by our friends and neighbors and are filled with the unique merchandise and beautiful smiles that make our community a wonderful place to experience life.
While you are out shopping be sure not to miss Savor Fort Wayne specials organized by our friends at Visit Fort Wayne. Other featured activities include:
• Art This Way Scavenger Hunt with prizes! (to be released the first week of August)
• Parkview Field open with limited hours, including food options from their famous Philly Food Cart
• The Embassy Theatre box office will be open to distribute complimentary tickets to their 2020 Film Series

To create a safe and comfortable shopping environment, each business will be adhering to state and local Back on Track regulations.
So grab your mask, your family and your good vibes and come enjoy a “socially distant” day Downtown Fort Wayne shopping local! For a detailed list of participating sales and events, please visit www.DowntownFortWayne.com
