INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The state’s public health managers say more people are getting fully vaccinated, though most come from one demographic.
On Monday, the Indiana State Department of Health said 35 percent of people 16-and-up in Indiana, or 1.9 million people, are now fully vaccinated. But the state also said there is a gap in who is getting the shot. The Department of Health says 78-percent of people who’ve gotten the shot are white, just over seven percent are Black, and just under six percent are Latino.
Indiana is looking to try and boost those low vaccination numbers.
