Man upgraded to stable condition after stabbing

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Officials with the FWPD say that on June 13, 2019, at 1:06 a.m., the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a home in the 2700 block of Sterling St. on a report of a male suffering from stab wounds. Officers arrived and located an adult male outside of the home, appearing to have been stabbed. The male was taken to a local hospital where he was initially determined to be in critical condition but was later upgraded to stable condition by hospital staff.

The only information available at this time is that some sort of altercation took place, leading to the male to be stabbed. Detectives are trying to piece everything together, including where the stabbing actually took place, who the suspects are, and what led to the incident.
