Police think the fatal shooting was gang-related.
A 17-year-old and 21-year-old Corrion Parks were arrested this week. Both are facing preliminary charges of murder, attempted murder, battery with a deadly weapon, and criminal gang activity.
20-year-old Christopher Recht and 19-year-old Terrance Sanders Jr., were previously arrested in the shooting that took the life of 18-year-old Ayvion Parker at the Villa Capri Apartments on Sept. 12, 2023.
The FWPD released the following on Wednesday:
On May 29, 2024, the Fort Wayne Police Department arrested 21yo Corrion Parks, and a 17yo male juvenile were each charged with Murder, Attempted Murder, Battery with a Deadly Weapon, and Criminal Gang Activity for the homicide of Ayvion Parker that occurred on 09/12/2023 at 0150 hours in the 1800 block of Foxpoint Trl. These arrests were made in addition to Christopher Recht 20yo and Terrance Sanders Jr. 19yo who are also facing the same charges and were taken into custody on 01/11/2024. Both Parks and the male juvenile were taken into custody without incident. Parks was transported to the Allen County Jail, and the male juvenile was transported to the Allen County Juvenile Center. The FWPD Homicide Unit was assisted in these arrests by the Vice/Narcotics Division, the Gang and Violent Crimes Unit, the Aerial Support Unit, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Two men have been arrested and charged with murder in connection to a shooting last September.
The Fort Wayne Police Department said that on Thursday, officers arrested 18-year-old Terrance Sanders Jr. and 19-year-old Christopher Recht after they were connected to the shooting on the 1800 block of Fox Point Trail.

Police found a man and a minor suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man, who was later identified as 18-year-old Ayvion Antoine Romel Parker, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Terrance Sanders Jr and Christopher Recht are now charged with Murder, Attempted Murder, Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Criminal Gang activity, in connection to the murder of Ayvion Parker.

On 1/11/2024 the Fort Wayne Police Department arrested 18yo Terrance Sanders Jr and 19yo Christopher Recht for the criminal charges of Murder, Attempted Murder, Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Criminal Gang Activity in connection to the homicide of Ayvion Parker on 09/12/2023 in the area of 1800 Fox Point Trail. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and are currently at the Allen County Jail. The Homicide Unit conducted the criminal investigation and were assisted in their efforts by the Gang and Violent Crime Unit, the Narcotics Division, the Aerial Support Unit, the Indiana State Police and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
