FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Sweetwater, the country’s number one eCommerce provider of music instruments and pro audio gear, says that it is the recipient of two Comparably Awards.
The first award, “Best Company Compensation,” is based on employee satisfaction with the total compensation package (fair pay, raises, annual bonuses, benefits, stock/equity). The second award is the “Best Company Perks & Benefits,” which is based on employee satisfaction with perks & benefits (ratings of perks, satisfaction with benefits, paid time off, retention due to benefits).
Sweetwater representatives released the following:
“We are honored to be recognized by Comparably in these two categories for our commitment to ensuring a positive employee experience,” said Sweetwater Chief People Officer Jeff Ostermann. “At Sweetwater, we provide our employees with competitive pay and benefits and work hard to create a path for them to find meaning and joy in their work, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive and grow. Our company culture is essential to what we do here at Sweetwater.”
Comparably Awards is an annual series launched in late 2017 highlighting the best CEOs and places to work by those who know best – employees. Based solely on sentiment feedback provided by current employees who anonymously rated their employers on Comparably.com, workers answer structured questions spanning 16 different workplace topics, from compensation, perks, and benefits to work-life balance, career growth, and leadership. Each answer is then given a numerical score and compared to companies of similar size. The final data set of winners is compiled from over 15 million ratings across 70,000 companies within a 12-month period.
“Perks, benefits, and compensation are usually the most important factors that go into a job decision and are key to contributing to the culture of a company,” said Comparably CEO Jason Nazar. “It’s clear that Sweetwater provides employees what they need to be successful in the workplace.”
“At Sweetwater, team members are valued and celebrated and there are many opportunities for advancement. Already in 2022, 284 employees have been promoted to other positions within the company,” said Ostermann. “Amenities include an on-site diner, access to Sweetwater’s free medical clinic with a full-time doctor & nurse, a fitness center & personal trainer, salon & spa, and concierge services. We also offer parental leave, tuition reimbursement, daily earned pay access, a free employee assistance program and onsite mental health counseling services, access to free financial and legal assistance, and more.”
